This is my big bowl. It is taller and deeper than both of my two bowls previously on my advanced page. The glaze on the outside of the bowl was a light green going on and it came out much darker and very speckled, it gives the bowl an appearance of being textured. As I was footing this bowl i decided to cut out three lines in the side. The lines were barley indented into the bowl but the glaze gives the allusion of them being darker. The footing on this bowl is clean for the most part but it is very thick. I don't think that i took enough clay off of the bottom when throwing so i think that is something I can do differently next time.

These are my first two bowls. The first bowl is just as tall as the second bowl but it is not as wide. The glaze on the inside makes the bowl seem shallow. The glaze on it did not turn out the way i wanted it to. I coated the bowl in a cobalt blue and then dipped it in white to try and get the speckled glaze that i had seen others do. but the color did turn out nice and gives off a calm state. The footing done on it is much better than the second bowl, it is much smoother and cleaner. I tied the same glazing technique on the second bowl as well and the turn out was a darker finish. But with a darker inside the bowl appears deeper than it is. this bowl is wider than the first and gives off a feel of the sea. The footing on it is a little shaky and not so clean. i could definietly improve on my footing skills.
